We are
featuring the following workshops this
season:
2008 Art
Workshops at Chileno Valley Ranch
June
9-12; Plein Air Painting Workshop taught by
Randy Sexton;
4 days of teaching; 14 students maximum; Fees of
$450.00 per day student; $850.00 per shared
room; $1125.00 per single room; $1195.00 per

June
23-26 (waitlist only); Plein Air Pastel Painting
Workshop taught by Kim Fancher
Lordier;
4 days of teaching; 13 students maximum; Fees of
$450.00 for a day student; $850.00 for a shared
room student; $1125.00 for a single room

 All
students are expected to provide their own
transportation and art materials. An art
materials list will be mailed to the student one
month prior to the workshop. Breakfast and lunch
are included the Ranch Student's fee, along with
the fee for the workshop. Day students bring their
own lunches.
Workshops
are four to five days long. The Ranch Stay
Students arrive at or after 4:00 on the Sunday
prior to the Monday on which the workshop begins,
and leave by 11:00 on the following Friday. Day
Students arrive at 8:30 on the Monday the Workshop
begins.
There will
be a 10% cancellation fee once the student has paid
for the workshop.
Painting
venues are set in the rolling hills of West
Marin, one of the best preserved and most
naturally beautiful settings in all of California.
Large Barns, Out Buildings, Tomales Bay, Ocean
Views, Ranch Animals, Gardens, Lakes are all
possible venues.
Both
private and public land will be available to the
discerning artist.
All
instructors are the personal friends of the
Gales, which lends a relaxed and friendly
atmosphere to the week's experience. Sally Gale,
one half of the ranch team of Mike and Sally Gale,
takes the workshops as well.
Those
who wish to stay at the Ranch will stay in the
Victorian ranch house built by Sally Gale's
great-great-grandparents, Carlo and Katerina
Traversi-Martinioya, and restored by Mike and Sally
in1996. Mike and Sally live there too.
Expect a
memorable workshop that you will want to repeat as
often as possible! And, by the way, as soon as
you decide to take the workshop, call Sally at
707-765-6664, give her your information, ask
all the questions you wish, and then... send the
check!
Only the
receipt of one half of the fee will secure your
position in the workshop.
