There are five windows in the Moonrise Room; three in the bay overlooking the valley, one looking towards the Northern hills of the ranch, and one oval window over the claw foot tub in the bathroom. The colors in this room are subtle pinks, roses and lilacs, and the large burled walnut Victorian bedstead (queen-sized) is complimented by an equally grand French armoire with tall beveled mirrors. An oriental rug festooned with birds and flowers adorns the original redwood floor. In the adjoining bathroom, there is a pedestal sink, the clawfoot tub, and a toilet. The colors in this room are creams and rosy colors, with flowers winding their way around the top of the tile wainscoting. As in the other rooms, brass light fixtures of the Late Victorian Period adorn the wall and ceiling. A nice touch in the bedroom is the inclusion of two sconces on either side of the bed, given to Mike and Sally by Sally's elderly Cousin Emeline, who grew up in this house in the second generation of Martins. The sconces are delicately hand painted, and reflect the care given to household items in the early part of this century.
